The menopause transition
A staged approach to menopause — foundational herbs first, then practitioner-guided support, then bioidentical hormones where they are needed.
Educational information — not medical advice. Speak to your own doctor or qualified practitioner before starting any protocol. In a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Read the full medical disclaimer.
Menopause is not a disease to be corrected but a transition to be supported.
What follows is staged. Begin gently, one remedy at a time, and give the body weeks rather than days to answer. Lifestyle — the right exercise for your body, real food, and stress management — matters more than any capsule, and runs underneath every level below.
General guidance — freely shared
Everyone benefits from a foundation in place first: a good-quality vitamin and mineral supplement, omega-3 from fish or krill oil, and vitamin D (with K2 for long-term use). These support the whole system before any hormone-specific work begins.
Adrenal support matters in menopause. Progesterone is a mother hormone, and under prolonged stress it is drawn to the adrenals — which can leave a relative excess of estrogen, and the moodiness that comes with it. Managing stress is part of this protocol, not separate from it.
