Judy had lived for years on antidepressants — stable, but an observer of her own life. “I have lost my passion,” she said. “I want to feel connected again.” A story about the courage to feel.

I have worn glasses as long as I can remember and have got used to the fact that I don’t see the world clearly. My wife often has to remind me to clean the glass of my spectacles, and if I take my glasses off and look at something close I am aware how much fuller and more juicy it looks.

People on drugs have a similar situation. After a while they forget what it is like to be normal and think that the drug effect is normal, because it seems better than the condition they were in before.
